Scope

This part of GB/T 33578 provides the implementation details of risk-based inspection (RBI) for ethylene plants. This part is applicable to pressure-bearing equipment in ethylene plants that have implemented RBI projects, using the cracking method of superheated steam dilution tube furnaces and processes dominated by sequential separation. Ethylene plants with ethane pre-stripping and propane pre-stripping processes can refer to this part for use. This part is not applicable to safety valves. The inspection strategy for safety valves is described in GB/T 26610.2.
