This standard provides a description of the main damage patterns of pressure-bearing equipment, including damage mechanisms, damage forms, affected materials, main influencing factors, devices or equipment prone to damage, main preventive measures, detection or monitoring methods, and other related or accompanying damages.
This standard is applicable to the identification of damage patterns in pressure-bearing equipment.
This standard is not applicable to the failure of pressure-bearing equipment seals, safety interlock devices, or pressure relief devices.
