Scope

This document applies to AC speed control electrical drive systems, which include semiconductor power conversion and its control, protection, monitoring, and measurement, as well as AC motors.
This document applies to AC speed control electrical drive systems that supply power to AC motors. Among them, basic drive modules/complete drive modules are connected to AC power voltages (line voltages) of 35 kV and below, and/or 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and/or connected to DC power voltages of 1.5 kV and below.
Note: GB/T 12668.1 covers DC speed control electrical drive systems that supply power to DC motors.
This document specifies and describes a non-exhaustive list of guidelines for selecting the performance and functional attributes of basic drive modules/complete drive modules/electrical drive systems. This list is reviewed by stakeholders to determine the design considerations for devices, equipment, or systems with relevant test specifications. This document also provides options for the performance and functional attributes of drive equipment and extended products. Performance and functional attributes mainly include the following categories:
——The topology structure of the main components of the electrical drive system and the classification of electrical drive systems;
——Rating values, performance, and functionality;
——Environmental specifications for the intended installation and operation of the electrical drive system;
——Other specifications that may apply when specifying the overall electrical drive system.
Traction products and electric vehicles are not within the scope of this document.
This document provides a non-exhaustive list. According to application requirements, this list can be used to establish minimum requirements specifications between customers and manufacturers.
