Scope

This standard defines a series of elements of post-processing statements using numerical control software. These post-processing statements are encoded in CLDATA records of type 2000 and 20000, or in other equivalent forms. Any processor that adopts the international standard numerical control programming language can generate tool position data (CLDATA) records that comply with the post-processing commands of this standard. Each post-processor can use the CLDATA records of the post-processing commands defined in this standard as input. This standard does not describe the following: a) The mechanism by which these statements are processed; b) The medium for recording these input language statements; c) The medium and format of the output machine control data; d) The order of the statements in a part program.
