Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, tests, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation requirements for natural gas generator sets used in the petroleum industry (hereinafter referred to as "generator sets").
This standard applies to generator sets consisting of reciprocating internal combustion engines, AC generators, control devices, and auxiliary equipment, with a power range of 3 kW to 3,150 kW, a rated frequency of 50 Hz, and natural gas as the fuel.
Generator sets powered by other combustible gases or those with a frequency of 60 Hz can be implemented with reference to this standard.
