Scope

This standard specifies the basic types and dimensions of integral involute spline hobs with a modulus of 0.5 mm to 10 mm and a pressure angle of 30°, as well as the basic types and dimensions of integral involute spline hobs with a modulus of 0.25 mm to 2.50 mm and a pressure angle of 45°. This standard is applicable to hobs used for machining cylindrical straight involute splines with a basic tooth profile specified in GB/T 3478.1 and dimensions specified in GB/T 3478.4 or GB/T 3478.2.
