GB/T 16422.3-2014 Plastics—Methods of exposure to laboratory light sources—Part 3:Fluorescent UV lamps
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 16422 specifies the test method for exposing samples in test equipment equipped with fluorescent UV radiation, heat, and water, which is used to simulate the natural aging effect of materials exposed to sunlight or filtered sunlight in actual use environments.
This part is applicable to the weathering resistance evaluation of plastics under fluorescent UV light exposure conditions and the weathering resistance comparison tests between plastics.
The samples are exposed to fluorescent UV lamps under controlled conditions (temperature, humidity, and/or water), and different types of fluorescent UV lamps are used to meet the testing needs of different materials.
The sample preparation and result evaluation for specific materials refer to other national standards.
The general principles are given in GB/T 16422.1.
