Scope
This standard specifies the test method for verifying the axial loading coaxiality of axial testing machines using strain gauge measurement devices. This standard is applicable to dynamic or static axial tensile and/or compression testing machines, torsion testing machines, and tensile-torsion or compression-torsion testing machines used for metal materials. It can also be used for similar testing machines used for non-metallic materials testing.
