Scope
This standard specifies the methods for determining cell density, cell viability, pH value, dissolved oxygen, osmotic pressure, glucose content, bacterial endotoxin, and lactic acid content during the large-scale cultivation of animal cells.
This standard is applicable to the detection of biochemical parameters during the large-scale cultivation of Chinese hamster ovary cells (CHO), mouse myeloma cells (NSO, SP2/0), African green monkey kidney cells (Vero), rat kidney epithelial cells (BHK-21), canine kidney epithelial cells (MDCK), and porcine testicular cells (ST). The detection of biochemical parameters during the large-scale cultivation of other eukaryotic cells can also be used as a reference.
