Scope

This document specifies the classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as the marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and accompanying documents and order forms for copper and copper alloy wire billets used in the contact materials of electric locomotives (hereinafter referred to as "copper wire billets").
This document is applicable to copper and copper alloy wire billets with a diameter of 18 mm to 34 mm used in the contact materials of electric locomotives on electrified railways.
