Scope

This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography method for determining the content of fluorescent whitening agents in plastic products. This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of fluorescent whitening agents in plastic products made of five materials: polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS), and polycarbonate (PC). The detection limits of each fluorescent whitening agent in this standard are all 0.05 mg/kg.
