Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, testing methods, and marking for self-priming filter respirators against particulate matter. This standard applies to self-priming filter respiratory protective equipment for protecting against various types of particulate matter. This standard does not apply to respiratory protective equipment for protecting against harmful gases and vapors. This standard does not apply to respiratory protective equipment for use in oxygen-deficient environments, underwater operations, or for escape and firefighting purposes.
