Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and order forms (or contracts) for tantalum and tantalum alloy powders used in additive manufacturing. This standard applies to tantalum and tantalum alloy powders prepared by processes such as plasma rotating electrode method, plasma atomization method, plasma spheroidization method, and hydrogenation dehydrogenation method.
