Scope

This standard specifies the instrumentation, samples, test procedures, and test reports for the cross-tension test method of resistance spot welding and projection welding lap joints of metal materials.
This standard applies to resistance welding joints with a metal plate thickness of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm, a maximum weld diameter of 7 [t] and less than 12 mm (where t is the plate thickness. When the plate thickness is different, t is the thickness of the thinner plate).
