Scope

This standard specifies the terminology and definitions of footwear components, names, bases, materials, testing, processes, equipment, and shoe lasts used in the footwear industry.
This standard applies to sewing, gluing, molding, vulcanization, injection molding, inserting, casting, and other processes, as well as combinations of two or more of these processes.
