Scope

This part of GB/T 4797 provides information on environmental conditions under natural earthquake vibrations and impacts.
Its purpose is to define some basic characteristics and characteristic quantities of earthquakes, in order to provide background information for products that may be subjected to these conditions during storage and use. Only the acceleration of ground conditions is given. Structural conditions are mentioned, but only in terms of a general description of the conditions.
