It is a local chicken species with distinctive appearance and biological characteristics, featuring stable genetic performance, good adaptability, strong disease resistance, tender and delicious meat, small bones and abundant flesh, moderate fat content, and unique flavor. It derives its name from its core production area in Jinfu Town, Fuling District, Chongqing City. 5 Geographical Indication Product Protection Scope The geographical indication product "Jinfu Local Chicken" is protected within the boundaries of Jinfu Town, Fuling District, Chongqing City, specifically covering an area with coordinates of 106°41′–106°47′E and 29°49′–29°51′N. 6 Environmental Conditions of the Production Area 6.1 Altitude and Terrain Jinfu Town is located in the transition zone between the Sichuan Basin and the bordering mountainous regions, on the southwestern border of Fuling District, Chongqing City. The area is dominated by low-altitude hills, spanning both the north and south banks of the Yangtze River and the east and west banks of the Wujiang River. It features exposed rock layers with folds and faults, with a west-high, east-low, north-south orientation, with a maximum altitude of 892.2 meters and a minimum altitude of 208.4 meters. 6.2 Climate Jinfu Town belongs to the subtropical humid climate zone, characterized by distinct seasons, sufficient heat, and abundant rainfall.
