Scope
This standard specifies the general dimensions and markings for pipe thread taps. This standard is applicable to the following two types of taps: — Cylindrical pipe thread taps (see Table 1); — Conical pipe thread taps (see Table 2). The aforementioned threads comply with ISO 228-1 and ISO 7-1. In addition, the appendix of this standard provides calculation methods for the dimensions of each part.
