Scope

This document describes the test method for determining the dynamic elastic modulus (hereinafter referred to as acoustic modulus) of chemical fiber filaments using the acoustic pulse propagation method. This document is applicable to chemical fiber filaments, including pre-oriented filaments, medium-oriented filaments, high-oriented filaments, drawn filaments, single filaments, industrial filaments, and filaments made by other processing methods. It also applies to filaments made from different materials such as polyester fiber, nylon, polypropylene, acrylic fiber, viscose, and aramid, as well as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Other yarns, strips, belts, and film materials should refer to this document for implementation. This document is not applicable to spandex filaments and stretch-deformed filaments (DTY).
