GB/T 43099-2023 Metallic and other inorganic coatings—Electrodeposited coatings of tin-cobalt alloy
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the marking and requirements for tin-cobalt alloy electroplating layers with a tin content (mass fraction) of 75% to 80% and the rest being cobalt. Tin cobalt alloy plating layers can be used as an alternative to decorative chromium plating layers with a thickness of 0.1 μm to 0.3 μm. Their hardness and wear resistance are different from those of chromium plating layers, but are similar to those of tin-nickel alloy plating layers. This document applies to barrel plating and hanging plating of tin-cobalt alloy electroplating layers with a tin content (mass fraction) of 75% to 80% and the rest being cobalt. This document does not specify the requirements for the surface condition of the base metal before electroplating.
