Scope

This document specifies the principles, samples, testing equipment, testing procedures, processing of test results, and test reports for the room-temperature shear testing of metal sheets and strips.
This document is applicable to the determination of the room-temperature shear properties of metal sheets and strips with a thickness of 0.5 mm to 3 mm. For sheets thicker than 3 mm, the testing can be carried out in accordance with this document.
