Scope

This document specifies the hygiene safety and functional requirements for household and similar-purpose storage-type electric water heaters with antibacterial, disinfection, and purification functions, as well as requirements for marking and user manuals, and describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to household and similar-purpose storage-type electric water heaters (hereinafter referred to as "water heaters") that have one or more of the following functions: antibacterial, anti-mold, disinfection, particulate matter filtration, scale inhibition, residual chlorine purification, and drainage. Note: For water heaters that can provide domestic bathing water and their accompanying water treatment modules, as well as other forms of water heaters, the evaluation of their compliance with the above-mentioned functions should refer to the relevant content of this document.
