Scope
This document describes a method for measuring the particle size distribution of particles dispersed in electrolyte solutions using the resistance method.
This document is suitable for particle size analysis of biological particles (such as cells) with a particle size range of approximately 0.5 μm to 1 mm (depending on the implementation), as well as industrial particle materials such as carbon powder, cement, ceramic powder, metal powder, pigments, and polymer powder. The method obtains the particle size distribution by measuring the pulse height and its relationship with the particle volume or diameter. This document does not address the specific requirements for measuring specific materials.
