Scope

This part of GB/T 17850 specifies the classification and marking of non-metallic abrasives used for surface cleaning of steel before coating application.
This part is applicable to unused abrasives and not to used abrasives.
Note: Although this part of GB/T 17850 is formulated to meet the requirements of steel surface treatment, it is also applicable to the surfaces or components of other materials treated by blasting cleaning technology. These provisions are given in ISO 8504-2:20001) "Surface Treatment of Steel before Coating Application - Surface Treatment Methods - Part 2: Abrasive Blasting Cleaning".
