Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structure and principles, metering performance, indication devices, storage devices, remote reading devices, electric control valves, power supply, durability, reliability, climatic environment, mechanical environment, and electromagnetic environment of electronic water meters. This standard applies to cold water meters and hot water meters that use mechanical motion or electronic sensing principles to measure water flow, display, store, and remotely transmit the measurement results electronically, and comply with the provisions of GB/T 778.1-2007 and GB/T 778.3-2007.
