GB/T 23467-2009 Standard test method for evaluation of flame resistant clothing for protection against flash fire simulations using an instrumented manikin
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies quantitative measurement and subjective observation methods for characterizing the flame retardant performance of protective clothing in a simulated flashover environment where heat flux, flame distribution, and duration are all controllable.
This standard is applicable to the testing and evaluation of the flame retardant performance of protective clothing, and can also be used to predict the degree of burns and total burn area on human tissue.
Note: This standard is suitable for measuring and describing the response of materials, products, or compositions to heat and flames under controlled conditions. It is not suitable for describing and evaluating the hazards and likelihood of materials, products, or compositions igniting in actual fire scenes. However, the results of tests conducted using this standard can be used as a basis for fire hazard assessment or fire risk assessment, which takes into account relevant factors of fire hazard or fire risk assessment in specific applications.
