Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, general requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and the basic contents of the accompanying technical documents for air-to-air heat exchanger units used in modular ventilation and air conditioning systems. This standard applies to air-to-air heat exchanger units that use outdoor low-temperature air as a cold source to cool indoor air by indirect heat exchange between indoor and outdoor air, or by directly introducing outdoor air into the indoor environment for heat exchange, as well as a combination of the above two methods to achieve indoor air cooling.
