GB/T 39515的本部分规定了固定式和半移动式喷雾机（见3.1和3.2定义）的使用过程中（包括制造商能够预见的误用）对环境污染潜在风险降低到最小的技术要求和验证方法。
这种喷雾系统通常是由独立的部件（主药液箱、泵和施药装置）组合装配在固定装置上（固定式喷雾机）或移动装置上（半移动式喷雾机）组成的。
本部分不适用于密闭空间处理用的喷雾机。
本部分与规定了各类喷雾机的设计与性能通用要求的GB/T 39515.1一起使用。如本部分规定的要求与GB/T 39515.1规定的内容不相同，属于本部分适用范围的喷雾机优先遵循本部分的规定。本部分不包含安全方面的内容，安全方面的要求见ISO 4254-6。
本部分不适用于其发布日期之前生产的喷雾机。
