Scope
This standard specifies the safety requirements for temperature control systems used in mechanical and electronic household and similar-purpose floor heating equipment. This standard includes requirements for temperature control systems that control indoor floor heating, as well as requirements for floor heating thermostat systems used in conjunction with pipe pumps, water heaters, central air conditioning systems, and building automation systems. It also includes requirements for floor heating thermostat systems with remote control and intelligent control functions. This standard does not include requirements for the floor heating radiation portion. This standard applies to floor heating thermostat systems with a rated voltage not exceeding 690 V and a rated current not exceeding 63 A, which convert electrical energy into heat (commonly known as electric floor heating) or diffuse heat through a thermal fluid medium (commonly known as water floor heating) in indoor environments, and require single or dual temperature control.
