Scope

This document describes the methods of testing the Barcol hardness tester (hereinafter referred to as the "hardness tester") using direct and indirect testing methods, and stipulates the classification, general requirements, direct testing methods, indirect testing methods, testing cycles, and testing reports for the hardness tester.
This document is applicable to the testing and calibration of Barcol hardness testers. The indirect testing method can also be used independently for regular routine testing of the hardness tester during its use.
