Scope

This standard specifies the acceptance test methods for gas turbine power units, in order to determine or verify the main performance parameters such as power and thermal efficiency of the gas turbine power units, as well as other performance indicators.
This standard applies to open-cycle gas turbine power units with conventional combustion systems, and also to closed-cycle and semi-closed-cycle gas turbine power units. With appropriate modifications, it can also be applied to gas turbine power units powered by other heat sources.
Gas turbines that are currently under development can be used as reference for this standard.
