Scope

This part of GB 39800 specifies the general requirements for the provision of personal protective equipment (i.e., labor protective products) by all employing units in the metallurgy and non-ferrous industries, the identification and assessment of hazardous factors, and the provision of personal protective equipment.
This part applies to the provision and management of personal protective equipment for all employing units and their employees in the metallurgy and non-ferrous industries.
This part does not apply to the provision and management of fire-fighting personal protective equipment for employing units in the mining and mineral processing industries and the metallurgy and non-ferrous industries.
