Scope

This document specifies the geometric accuracy inspection requirements and methods for ordinary-precision CNC vertical lathes and turning centers, as well as the corresponding tolerances, in accordance with GB/T 17421.1—2023 and GB/T 17421.7—2016.
This document explains the different concepts, configurations, and general characteristics of CNC vertical lathes and turning centers, and provides the terminology and names of control axes (see Figures 1 and 2, and Table 1).
This document is only applicable to the accuracy inspection of machine tools. It is not applicable to the operational inspection of machine tools (such as the inspection of machine tool vibration, abnormal noise, and component creep) and the performance inspection of machine tools (such as speed and feed rate). The geometric accuracy inspection of machine tools that is not covered in this document is in other parts of GB/T 16462.
