Scope

This part of GB/T 16462 specifies the geometric accuracy inspection requirements and methods for general-purpose CNC vertical lathes and vertical turning centers, as well as the corresponding tolerances, in accordance with GB/T 17421.1 and ISO 2307. This part explains the different concepts, configurations, and common features of CNC vertical lathes and vertical turning centers, and provides terms and definitions for control axes (see Figures 1, 2, 3, and 4). This part is applicable to the accuracy inspection of machine tools. It is not applicable to the operational inspection of machine tools (such as inspections of machine tool vibration, abnormal noise, and component creep) or the performance inspection of machine tools (such as speed and feed rate), as these inspections are typically conducted prior to accuracy inspections.
