Scope

This document specifies the accounting boundaries, measurement and monitoring, accounting steps and methods, data quality management, and reporting content and format for the accounting and reporting of carbon emissions in chemical production enterprises.
Note: According to convention, the term "carbon emissions" is used in this document to refer to greenhouse gas emissions, including emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrous oxide (N2O).
This document is applicable to the accounting and reporting of carbon emissions in chemical production enterprises. Enterprises whose main business is the production of chemical products can account for their carbon emissions and prepare enterprise carbon emission reports in accordance with the methods provided in this document.
