Scope

This standard specifies the test method and evaluation method for cracks occurring on the surface of rubber specimens during aging under static strain conditions.
This standard is applicable to aging tests of rubber under static tensile or bending conditions in an atmospheric environment or in an ozone-containing medium.
This standard is not applicable to electrical insulation materials or rubber components exposed to environments with high concentrations of ozone caused by electrical discharges; nor is it applicable to hard rubber.
