Scope
This standard specifies a static test method for determining the strength of mechanical joints in conveyor belts. Such joints may be connected using connecting rods, or without connecting rods.
This standard does not address vulcanized joints.
Note: This standard stipulates that the purpose of this test is to prevent insufficient strength of mechanical joints in conveyor belts. A standard for the dynamic test method of joints will be developed in the future.
This standard does not apply to light conveyor belts specified in ISO 21183.
