Scope

This regulation applies to seamless gas cylinders, welded gas cylinders, cryogenic insulated gas cylinders, fiber-wound gas cylinders, gas cylinders with internal packing, and gas cylinder bundles (Note 1-2) used for storing compressed gases, high/low pressure liquefied gases, cryogenic liquefied gases, dissolved gases, adsorbed gases, mixed gases (Note 1-2) and liquids with a standard boiling point equal to or lower than 60℃; large-capacity gas cylinders for long-tube trailers, tube-type containers, and fire-extinguishing gas cylinders shall comply with the general provisions, materials, design, and manufacturing requirements of this regulation. Long-tube trailers and tube-type containers shall also meet the requirements of the "Safety Technical Supervision Regulations for Mobile Pressure Vessels". Large-capacity gas cylinders with a volume greater than 3000L and less than or equal to 5000L may refer to the relevant provisions of this regulation for implementation. The gas cylinders referred to in this regulation include the cylinder body and gas cylinder accessories. The main categories, types, and designations of gas cylinders covered by this regulation are listed in Annex A. This regulation does not apply to fire-extinguishing gas cylinders that only withstand instantaneous pressure during fire extinguishing, as well as portable dry powder fire-extinguishing gas cylinders, water-based fire-extinguishing gas cylinders, brazed structure gas cylinders, and gas cylinders used in military equipment, nuclear facilities, aerospace vehicles, railway locomotives, offshore facilities and ships, underground mines, and civil airport-specific equipment.
