Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions, electrical characteristics, and mechanical properties of cables commonly used in aircraft and aerospace applications. This standard applies to stranded copper conductors with nominal cross-sections ranging from 0.12 mm2 to 107 mm2. This standard does not apply to fire-resistant cables or thermocouple compensation cables. The conductors of fire-resistant cables are in accordance with ISO 1967, and those of thermocouple compensation cables are in accordance with ISO 80561.
