Scope
This section specifies the instrumentation and operating procedures for performing absolute impact calibration of linear accelerometers using laser interferometry to measure the time-displacement signal of the impact process. The method is applicable to impact pulses with a duration range of 0.05 ms to 10 ms, and a peak range of 102 m/s2 to 105 m/s2 (related to the pulse duration), providing the impact sensitivity.
