Scope

This part of GB/T 20485 specifies the calibration methods for vibration and impact sensors, including the measurement methods for sensitivity and other characteristics. One of the absolute calibration methods recommended in this part is the preferred method. It also introduces the comparative calibration method for vibration and impact sensors (see 5.3). For a more detailed description, see the related standards of GB/T 13823 and GB/T 20485. This part is applicable to the calibration of linear motion acceleration, velocity, and displacement sensors with continuous readout, and recommends the preferred method, which has been proven to provide reliable and reproducible results. This part is not applicable to the calibration of rotary sensors.
