Scope
This standard specifies the symbols and explanations, principles, testing equipment, samples, testing procedures, and test reports for measuring the hydrogen embrittlement critical stress value and critical stress intensity value in steel using the incremental loading method. This standard is applicable to quantitatively evaluating the hydrogen embrittlement sensitivity of steel, or the residual hydrogen in steel produced by processing processes such as smelting, heat treatment, and surface treatment, as well as the impact of external environmental hydrogen on the performance of steel.
