Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the concentration of dissolved oxygen in industrial circulating cooling water, boiler feedwater, and condensate water. In this standard, the iodine method is applicable to the determination of the mass concentration of dissolved oxygen in industrial circulating cooling water ranging from 0.2 mg/L to 8 mg/L (calculated as O2); and the internal electrolysis method is applicable to the determination of the mass concentration of dissolved oxygen in boiler feedwater and condensate water ranging from 2 μg/L to 100 μg/L (calculated as O2).
