Scope

This document specifies the functional components, performance requirements, interface requirements, and testing methods of high-speed demodulators used in space-to-ground data transmission. This document is applicable to the design and testing of high-speed demodulators (hereinafter referred to as "demodulators") with data transmission rates between 5 Mb/s and 4,800 Mb/s between satellites, space stations, probes, and other spacecraft and the ground.
