Scope

This part of GB/T 778 specifies the terms and definitions, technical characteristics, metrological characteristics, and pressure loss requirements for drinking cold water meters and hot water meters. This part is applicable to all types of water meters with a maximum allowable working pressure (MAP) of not less than 1 MPa (0.6 MPa for water meters with a nominal pipe diameter of DN ≥ 500 mm), and a maximum allowable working temperature (MAT) of 30°C for drinking cold water meters, and up to 180°C for hot water meters, depending on the grade.
