GB/T 223.13-2025 Iron,steel and alloy—Determination of vanadium content—Titrimetric method and spectrophotometric method
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the methods for determining vanadium content using the ammonium ferrous sulfate titration method and the tantalum reagent extraction photometry method. This document is applicable to the determination of vanadium content in steel and alloys. Among them: **Method 1**: The ammonium ferrous sulfate titration method is suitable for determining vanadium content in steel and alloys with a mass fraction of 0.1% to 10.0%. It is not suitable for determining vanadium content in the following samples: - a) Samples containing more than 20% cobalt (by mass fraction); - b) Samples containing more than 0.01% cerium (by mass fraction); - c) Samples containing more than 20% chromium (by mass fraction), more than 20% manganese (by mass fraction), or more than 18% tungsten (by mass fraction), with a vanadium content of less than 0.4% (by mass fraction). **Method 2**: The N-BPHA (tantalum reagent) extraction photometry method is suitable for determining vanadium content in steel and cast iron with a mass fraction of 0.005% to 0.50%. **Method 3**: The tantalum reagent extraction photometry method is suitable for determining vanadium content in steel and alloys with a mass fraction of 0.005% to 0.50%.
