Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, calculation methods, and energy-saving management and measures for the energy consumption limits of unit products in the metal heat treatment processing process. This standard applies to production enterprises engaged in metal heat treatment processing within the administrative area of Shanghai City, and is used for energy consumption calculation, evaluation, and assessment, as well as for energy consumption control of newly built, modified, expanded, and relocated heat treatment production enterprises. The heat treatment processes applicable to this standard include: quenching and tempering, normalizing, hardening, annealing, spheroidizing annealing, stress relief annealing, solid solution heat treatment of stainless steel, artificial aging, and solid solution heat treatment of aluminum alloys. The heat treatment processes not applicable to this standard include: induction, vacuum, controlled atmosphere heat treatment, and tempering.
