Scope

This document specifies the test methods and preferred test level ranges for electrical and electronic equipment connected to low-voltage power grids against voltage sags, short-term interruptions, and voltage changes. This document applies to electrical and electronic equipment with a rated input current of less than or equal to 16 A per phase and connected to a 50 Hz AC network. This document does not apply to electrical and electronic equipment connected to a 400 Hz AC network. Tests for these networks will be addressed in future standards. The purpose of this document is to establish a general criterion for evaluating the immunity of electrical and electronic equipment to voltage sags, short-term interruptions, and voltage changes.
