Scope

This document:
—— Defines a common extensible data exchange format for representing vascular image data: one is a tagged binary data format based on ASN.1 extensible specifications, and the other is a text data format based on XSD, both of which can store the same information;
—— Provides examples of data record content;
—— Proposes minimum requirements, recommended methods, and best practices for data acquisition;
—— Describes compliance testing methods, test assertions, and test procedures for vascular image data in the extensible format.
This document is applicable to vascular-based biometric identification manufacturers for vascular image data exchange during storage, recording, and transmission, and is also suitable for compliance testing by manufacturers, inspection agencies, and end users.
