Scope
This document specifies the safety-related terms and definitions, symbols, application type descriptions and examples, major hazard lists, safety requirements, test methods, and usage information and storage periods for superhard abrasive products. This document applies to superhard abrasive products containing diamond or cubic boron nitride, including grinding and cutting wheels, diamond circular saw blades, diamond wire saws, grinding heads, and grinding wheels for construction and civil engineering. This document does not apply to ordinary abrasive bonded tools, coated abrasive tools, rotating dressing tools, dressers, or any non-rotating superhard abrasive products.
